Information we process
When you register, DesktopBee stores the name, email address, and a one-way hash of your password. For connection security, the relay temporarily processes device IDs, access codes, screen frames, input actions and network metadata in memory.
Remote sessions
During the current technical preview, the relay forwards screen imagery and input messages and can technically inspect their content. Traffic between devices and the relay is protected by TLS when using the production WSS endpoint. DesktopBee does not claim end-to-end encryption.
Storage and retention
Account records remain in the database until account deletion is implemented. The preview relay does not intentionally persist screen frames or keystrokes. Server logs may contain connection metadata. Policies and retention limits must be finalized before launch.
