What you need to know
You can view a Windows computer using DesktopBeeβs web viewer without installing a separate viewer application. The host computer still needs DesktopBee for Windows, and the person at that machine must authorize each session. Browser access is helpful when you are supporting someone from a borrowed or managed workstation where installing a viewer is inconvenient.
What you need
You need a modern browser, a working internet connection, and the Windows host running DesktopBee. Ask the host for the nine-digit computer ID and the current one-time access code. Never post those credentials publicly.
A simple three-step connection
Open web.desktopbee.com. Enter the ID and code provided by the host and request access. On the Windows machine, the owner receives an approval prompt and selects the access level or declines. The browser cannot bypass that decision.
View Only or Full Control
View Only lets the viewer see what is happening without sending mouse or keyboard input. Full Control permits interactive remote support when the host grants it. The relay enforces the selected permission, not merely the browser interface.
Important limitations
This preview routes traffic through DesktopBee Cloud and uses TLS for transport, but the relay is not yet protected by end-to-end encryption. A browser does not make an unattended connection possible. Use only with permission and avoid sensitive systems until the production security review is complete.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an extension?
No dedicated browser viewer extension is required for the supported web viewer workflow.
Does the browser need an installation?
No viewer installation is needed on the accessing computer. The Windows host still requires the DesktopBee program.
Will browser access work without host approval?
No. The current preview needs the temporary code and explicit approval.
